Best deals you can find by Googling Inflatable Boats on the web. Sea Eagle has a good prices, also iBoats has some sale. Check Amazon com, etc. Other boats are over prices. I have Saturn boat that I got last summer, which is really good boat all around, just searc for saturn inflatable boats on google or go to Amazon. I had Sea Eagle before, which is also nice boat. But, there are a lot of new companies that come and go, i heard Silver Marine was popular year ago, and now they gone. Aquamax was cheap boats, no more. Ask how long company in business before buying any inflatables, because they may not be around in year or two.

with such a wide selection of inflatable boats on the market one has to relize that there are only a few manufactures that actually make these boats
so you have to go with what people say .... what you have to look for is the thickness of the material korean made 1100 danier is the best material
most boats are now being made in china from korean imported material so do not let people tell you do not buy them ...warranty is also a issue
look for at minimum 3 year seam and 5 year fabric ...also look at where you have to send for warranty repair....

I have been a zodiac, zebec, saturn ,aquamarine and seamax owner

all very good boats except the aquamarine which was the cheapest of the lot only owned for one season didnt like the way it handled

for best value for the dollar I found seamax inflatable boats to be the best

reasons were

very good quailty ,good warranty ,based in canada great people to deal with
the extras that all came with the boat ,,aluminum floor instead of plywood
extra air valves, patch kit seat storage and bow bags

this made these boats very attractive and very affordable

have the red 12.5 ft with black trim handles my 15 hp johnson like a dream

very happy with it

zodiac and zebec boats I found very over priced

saturn boats were about the same price as the seamax however for about the same price saturn was with a plywood floor instead of aluminum

aluminum is lighter and lasts longer

in B.C. place to contact is www.seamaxcanada.com

I realize this is an old post..... but for the benefit of new readers to this topic....

Just because someone on a forum says the boat they bought is good quality does not mean much.

If you have a new boat and you like it of course you will say it is good quality.

price is only one factor when buying a boat.

how the pvc is assembled is a BIG factor.

If someone tells you that the boats are all made in a couple factories, then you know not to take them too seriously.

There are over 100 inflatable boat factories in China alone, as well as factories all over the world!

If you want a rock bottom price boat, then there are some cheap brands with welded seams. Welded seams last longer.

Welded seams usually have longer warranties. Check Aquastar's warranty (5 years - welded boat) compared to Seamax's warranty (3 years - glued boat)!

If someone says check out Achilles... and you notice their price is way higher, that is because a hypalon Achilles is a much much better boat than a glued PVC Seamax or Saturn or Zebec or whatever brand. Some brands will offer some glued boats and some welded boats in their different models. Even Zodiac Zooms are glued PVC boats made in China. All other Zodiacs are welded PVC (unless you buy their professional line which are glued Hypalon)

Yes, you do get what you pay for. But perhaps you don't really need or want to pay for that level of quality..... that is ok too!

I have no association with any of these companies and do not own any of these boat brands, but am just trying to inject some unbiased info into the debate.

A good website that doesn't sell boats but gives lots of info is www.my-inflatable-boat.com

Happy boating

I am agree with that PVC boats are good but it is not that much reliable in river water. I am using Achilles for the last 3 years and still I don't have any problem with that.
Though it is costly in price I prefer Achilles boat.

You get what you pay for when you buy an inflatable boat. Prices and quality really do vary. The cheaper boats aren't going to last, but the very expensive and super quality boats are prohibitive for many. It also depends on what you want to use it for and how many people you want to be able to carry. I think the Sevylor Fish Hunter 360 is good value for money if you want a dependable fishing boat for 2-3 people. I've seen some amazing customizations of the Fish Hunter. People really do love them.

I never compromise with the boat. If you buy cheaper boat you have to compromise with the safety. when you are going for fishing not only for fishing but for sailing also you need good boat.
